Born in the former Czechoslovakia, I began experimenting with cameras at an early age. It wasn’t until high school that my hobby of photography became a passion, While receiving my first fully manual camera. Soon I developed a sense for light and composition, as well as fast trigger reflexes. Beginning with my studies in 1997 at the Technical University of Slovakia, at the faculty of Environmental Sciences, photography was still on my mind. Four years later, I relocated to U.S.A. Once there, I began using my camera to capture extraordinary moments in life, as well as landscapes and human impact on the land. These explorations lasted for years and eventually led me on a journey across the country. Some of the most significant locations include: Chicago, IL; St. Louis and Lake of the Ozarks, MO; Zion, UT; Breckenridge and Aspen, CO; beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii and New York City. This has eventually led me to venture to Bay Area, CA, where I currently live. My latest work is focusing on Corporate events, weddings and family photography sessions in San Francisco / Bay area as well as single fine art portraits using astonishing outdoor/indoor venues.
I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories.
Throughout the years of travel and explorations I heavily relied on my camera and trusted it’s unbiased way to use light and turn it into art..
My camera became my eye, my emotional/artistic expression, the way I would see the world and through which I would live my life. Through camera I am able capture the unique moments of life, that will never repeat themselves and save them forever.
My work is everything for me, and seeing the smiles and satisfaction of my clients, both with and without the camera, is my reward.
